Leopold® Trough-Guard™ media baffles are a stainless steel assembly that is fastened onto both sides of washwater troughs to help ensure that no significant media loss occurs during concurrent air/water backwash at recommended rates. The media baffles create a quiet, air-bubble-free zone where media settles out and returns to the filter bed. Applied in conjunction with the Leopold® FilterWorx™ automatic filter control system, Trough-Guard™ media baffles not only reduce media loss, but also provide optimum cleaning of the media.
